IWI Galil ACE 31 from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Israeli modernization of a Finnish modification of the classic Soviet rifle. The ACE version keeps the thumb-operated fire selector of the predecessor, and adds a whole bunch of ergonomic and tactical improvements. Moving the charging handle to the left side necessiated a redesigned dust cover. The handguard's rails are protected by rail covers, which have holes for wire management of lights or LAMs. Offered in several caliber versions and with various barrel lengths, of which Ukraine domestically produces the ACE 22, 31, and 53 as Fort 227, 228, and 229, respectively.


Fear the Fort, if you've come to bring the "russian world"! The rashists are rushing back to Russia in such a hurry they left entire armored divisions behind, yours for the taking. The patriotic Telegram channels are furious, the ministry of defense keeps explaining that this is all a part of some grandiose master plan, the propagandists are changing shoes in flight, and the deputies of my city and Moscow are accusing Putin of state treason and demand him to resign due to his "hopelessly outdated views" and stuff. Boy, I haven't heard such great news for months! And thanks to the indomitable will of a sovereign nation that Putin wanted to erase (and a motherload of Western supplies) we got them. Glory to heroes. Damnation to invaders and warmongers.

It would be foolish not to celebrate their successes (and Russia's failures) with a little mod I planned very, very long ago. The texture edit is dated May 2017. I couldn't have simply changed the markings of the fire selector and add the Fort's logo, that wouldn't have been much of a change to warrant what essentially would be a mod reupload with a barely noticeable retexture. Shortening the barrel and changing the magazine to the AKs was a bigger change, but I also wanted another animation set. Eazy's BF4 animation recreation was considered but then I just dropped it entirely. Now I've revisited it with one of them MW19 sets which also has a front grip for an even bigger model change. I took it from the CSGO UMP45, the mag from the default AK, added an approximation of feed lips, and added the flashlight model from the AK as well. So now we have a less cursed fictionalized model of the Galil ACE on those anims. Unfortunately, the up/down animations broke on decompile a little, so I decided to remove them for now.

On another note, today is the second Sunday of September, Tanker's Day in Russia. Since I'm a tank driver, it's a reason to raise a few glasses. Here's to world peace, my friends. Все буде Україна.
