25 février, Les combats des bataillons Fenet et Obitz vont continuer toute la nuit. Au matin du 25 février, devant la poussée des Soviétiques, le Waffen-Hauptsturmführer Obitz décide de se replier de nouveau en arrière de Bärenwalde, ce qui met en péril le dispositif de défense français.
Le PC divisionnaire est installé au nord-est du régiment 57, à Elsenau. S’y installe en protection la Wach- und Ausbildungskompanie du SS-Obersturmführer Weber dont les hommes doivent rapidement bloquer une attaque massive de chars : pas moins d’une vingtaine seront détruits, au Panzerfaust ou par les tirs d’une pièce de PAK de la Wehrmacht.

February 25, The battles of the Fenet and Obitz battalions will continue all night. On the morning of February 25, faced with the Soviet push, Waffen-Hauptsturmführer Obitz decided to fall back again behind Bärenwalde, which jeopardized the French defense system.
The divisional PC is installed in the northeast of regiment 57, in Elsenau.
