Description
A hushed and elliptical conversation by lamp-light, with glints of truth like gold in river-mud. Who knows? Perhaps, one day, we might speak less guardedly.

A rival rework, focused on making the experience of dealing with rivals less passive and slow. The struggle against the rival is a race for supremacy in a game of shadows that both of you are playing, and this mod attempts to convey that.

Unfamiliar Adversaries adds:

-New countermeasures, which will help you either slay or recruit the rival

-New schemes, and reworked old schemes

-A tweaking of the snare system, and its abominable threshold numbers

-A rival type dictated by the rival's aspect, with an associated ability that becomes more powerful alongside the rival

Writing and coding by me, all assets are owned by Weather Factory. Many thanks to Laila and Number1Princess, who helped me playtest the mod.

Compatible with the base game and Unfamiliar Worshippers

My rival now has 4 scars, with the tooltip saying 3 should kill any mortal. I have SoA enabled. Is there something I should do to trigger the rival dying?

@The Infomaniac No, because I've been working on heavily reworking Unfamiliar Pursuers and a new version will be on the workshop very soon (in the form of Unfamiliar Megamix, a Worshippers + Pursuers + Adversaries rework)

A mod that makes rivals not shit. i love it!
