Description
Aspiring Champions are described as "some of the hardiest warriors in all the world" and are considered to be Exalted Heroes in the lore, but I've always felt that their in-game unit fails to live up to the hype provided by their description; this mod aims to upgrade them into truly powerful soldiers, making them worthy of their title and position as the mightiest mortal servants of Chaos. This mod increases many of their stats and increases the number of Champions in each unit to make them into a long lasting and highly damaging regiment, capable of killing many times their number and serving as the ultimate mortal unit for Chaos factions. In addition to the stat boosts, I've also given both variants the Terror, Fear, Unbreakable, and Stridor Attributes. The cost to purchase them and their upkeep have been increased somewhat to reflect these changes, they are now comparable to the cost of a Greater Demon unit such as a Bloodthirster.

Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of updates! Unfortunately I'm no longer able to continue work on my mods due to many life changes that have changed how I'll be moving forward. I may not keep my mods updated, so if anybody wishes to make updated versions or even work on the mods themselves you are more than welcome to; all I ask is that you credit my work and make sure I know about any updated projects.

I had a period of time in which I nearly lost my father and lost my oldest friend due to health issues, then I nearly died as well due to an unexpected heart problem. Since then I've entered into a relationship and made the decision to focus on improving my life, so I'll be entering College as a full time student and will no longer have the time to work on modding.

I want to thank each and every one of you for using my mods and for supporting my work! I greatly appreciate all of you and your support helped me through some rough times, it made a big difference in my life.

After the latest patch the mod manager says this "Patch 3.0: Vanilla attributes renamed in main_units_tables" just figured i'd give a heads up
on an unrelated note referencing what daredevil said id also love a more balanced version as well if you get the time to make one

Glad to help in any way I can! I'll see about publishing an altered version in the next while here, I'm a bit busy with 40K models currently but I'll definitely get a new version out at some point.

You're welcome, thank you for the feedback! I do appreciate it. Fair enough, modding can definitely seem a bit daunting at first; however I'd be happy to make a guide that could detail the process step by step if you'd like to give it a try! Alternatively I could also make another version of the mod that's more balanced, it wouldn't be too hard to do so when I have some spare time I could make one for you.

That's odd, I haven't changed the model count at all so they should still be at 40 per unit; I'll check the pack file to see if anything has changed as they shouldn't have those extra models. As for the stats, I think I must've forgotten to update the description a while back to reflect the boosted charge bonus and bonus to infantry, the charge bonus is there to encourage aggressive usage of the unit and the bonus to infantry is there to add differentiation between the regular version and the RoR version. However I did mention the traits above, they've always been there and won't be subject to change.

This buff is meant to be OP in order to better match their description in the lore, the goal of this mod is to make them the strongest infantry unit in the game with the exception of top tier single model fighters. If you'd like a weaker version I'd be happy to guide you through the process of changing things, it would only require changing a few numbers and removing a table using RPFM.

tried the mod and i get - 53 models, 150 chargebonus, also have terror frenzy, unbreakable and 25 bonus vs infantry. seems way OP. i was hoping for the stats you mention above :P

That could be it! I haven't used that mod before so I can't be sure, but if it changes any unit related stuff it could potentially cause stat changes.

Fair enough! I am using the Godslayer rework mod, so I have access to Aspiring Champions when I'm not really supposed to. That may have broken it.
