SCP-3790 - Department of Anomalies

Special conditions of detention: The door to the stairs leading to SCP-3790 must always be locked, one armed guard must be on duty next to it to exclude the possibility of unauthorized individuals entering SCP-3790.

By decree of the Board of Supervisors, entry to SCP-3790 is prohibited.

Description: SCP-3790 is a structure located under the warehouse of the Port Cannery in London, United Kingdom. The only entrance to this space is a narrow staircase ending in a low black door. The door has no identification markings except for a small metal plaque directly above the door that reads: "Department of Anomalies of the SCP Foundation".

The interior of SCP-3790 consists of several descending floors, each of which includes a corridor containing four doors, two on each side, as well as a lattice freight elevator at the far end of the corridor leading to the lower floors. Traces of human presence have been found in SCP-3790 in the past, however, the structure appears to have been abandoned for a considerable amount of time.

Each of the doors is metal and massive, and also has a sliding panel covering a small glass window into a dimly lit chamber located behind it. The handles and locks were removed from the doors, some of which were rusted, but otherwise remained intact, at some point in time in the past, after which they were welded. The only difference between the doors is the small metal plates located at the bottom of the sliding panels. These plates usually contain, as expected, the designation of the contents of the camera, but in some cases the plates have been removed or damaged.

On the back side of the main entrance door there is a tablet with a paper clip on which a notebook is fixed. Several pages of the notebook had apparently been torn out. On the front page there is a list of names and short notes. The rest of the pages are irrelevant.

With the help of an elevator, you can access seven floors of the structure.

There is no confirmation that the SCP Foundation ever had a Department of Anomalies. No information regarding the design could be found.

Appendix 3790.1: Camera contents

The following is a list of rooms on each floor, the text on each of the signs located on the doors, as well as a visual description of the contents of each chamber, if any, was possible to obtain.

Name of the plate: Vivaldi
Description: The cell is empty, except for the violin, which is located against the wall in the far corner. The bow is broken and lies on the floor in front of her.

Room No. 2
Name of the plate: The Face of Montezuma
Description: On the table in the middle of the cell is a decorated wooden chest with a large steel lock inlaid with gold. A quiet ticking sound, similar to that of a watch, is barely audible from inside the camera.

Room No. 3
Name of the plate: The plate is missing
Description: The camera is empty.

Room No. 4
Name of the plate: The tablet was damaged, as a result of which the text cannot be parsed.
Description: The camera is empty. The walls are covered with long deep scratches. Pieces of bones are scattered on the floor of the cell.

Room No. 1
Name of the plate: Ian
Description: In the corner of the cell sits a skinny, pale man in a straitjacket blindfolded.

Room No. 2
Name of the plate: Crying boy
Description: There is an easel in the room, hung with a canvas.

Room No. 3
Name of the plate: Observers
Description: In the far corner of the room, three indeterminate humanoid figures are huddled, looking away from the door. It is noticeable how the figures move, but the state of lighting inside the camera does not make it possible to see any details.

Name of the plate: The plate is missing
Description: There is another dark corridor behind the door.

Room No. 1
Nameplate name: Endless Cold
Description: The floor of the chamber is filled with a thin layer of water. The interior of the room seems much larger than its physical dimensions would allow from the outside.

Room No. 2
Name of the plate: Grief
Description: There is a pedestal in the middle of the chamber. Four parallel dusty footprints corresponding to the fingerprints indicate that the object, which was on the pedestal until recently, was taken away.

Room No. 3
Name of the sign: A world without people
Description: The camera is empty.

Room No. 4
The name of the tablet: Adam's Hatred
Description: At the far end of the room, a smoking, fuzzy black figure is visible.

Room No. 1
Name of the plate: Morning star
Description: At the far end, a rusty sword hangs on a rack. There is a warm feeling from the door leading to the cell.

Room No. 2
Name of the plate: Wormwood
Description: The window is closed.

Room No. 3
Nameplate Name: Harmony Necklace
Description: At the far end of the room, lit by a single candle, an uncomplicated gold necklace hangs on a counter. Apparently, there is no floor in the cell.

Room No. 4
Name of the plate: The plate is missing
Description: There is no lighting in the camera. Individuals who have looked into this room subsequently feel prolonged fear.

Room No. 1
Name of the plate: The human heart
Description: Inside the chamber is a beating human heart suspended from the ceiling by a wire. The inside of the camera looks distorted.

Room No. 2
Name of the plate: Tool marks make it clear that the plaque was torn off. The word "hello" is scrawled in its place.
Description: The sliding panel is welded.

Room No. 3
Nameplate name: Channel 55
Description: In the center of the room there is a small TV with a kinescope. Something is being played on the screen, but a dark cloth covers it from above.

Room No. 4
Name of the sign: A waking nightmare
Description: In the middle of the room lies a dirty mattress, located on a simple metal frame. There is a figure lying on the mattress, completely covered with a blanket.

Room No. 1
Name of the plate: Mr. Silence
Description: A long black wooden box rests on the far wall of the cell. The box is covered with chains and locks. The bright purple letter "R" is engraved in gold on the front.

Room No. 2
Nameplate name: Dead Man's Chair
Description: There is a wooden chair in the far corner of the room. A dim shadow is noticeable, "sitting" on it, but disappearing when you look again.

Room No. 3
Name of the plate: Etzi
Description: A layer of ice covers the window and impairs visibility. A dark figure is visible in the center of the room, but there is no way to see any details.

Room No. 4
Name of the plate: The Crown of Apollyon
Description: There is a silver safe on the table in the middle of the room. It is noticeable that the outer part of the door is covered with scratches, as if someone tried to get into the cell.
