Streets of Variety 3

Description
More chunks! Another 333 more, bringing the total for the SoV series up to nearly 1,000! I have a serious problem!

This is, as the title would suggest, more of the same. In particular the focus this time was on more version of the new building types introduced in the first two installments, while there are still some vanilla-esque chunks and a few new locations here the main goal was to further flesh out the existing ideas. With that in mind it is highly recommended that you combine this with SoV1-2, since all three complement and fill holes in one another. But of course it's fully playable on its own too if you just want to check out all the new stuff!

Minor disclaimer: This pack is CCU-enhanced, meaning that many NPCs will have additional functionality if you have that mod installed but it isn't at all required and they will just behave exactly like the older versions (and in fact if you do have the mod then you will have different versions of some custom NPCs showing up in the same run, like SoV3 Barbers can be used to cheaply bribe cops but SoV2 Barbers can't).

Brief description of some new CCU quirks:

Martial Artists - Now fight for friends for free.

Actors - Can be hired to do basically anything but at a high cost. Smell great!

Punks - Take drugs and can be hired.

Warbots - Explode really, really, really big on death and can be hired.

Terrorists - Also explode really, really, really big on death (after a long delay though, just gib their corpse if you don't want that!) and can be hired.

Tax Collectors - Pick up money and won't attack you if you have Cool With Cannibals.

Cultists - Will pay you for your blood. Don't ask what it's going to be used for, it's probably fine.

What is the ccu mod called and where do i download it?

It's quite bad when walls of a building are on the chunk edges. I lost my run when a mission was placed behind a chunk blocking off traversing during a disaster when I couldn't teleport to the mission directly :(

Thanks CL! That clears up a lot!

Yeah, that's actually a vanilla bug that happens whenever sign text ends up in an object the game didn't expect it to. It's definitely worse in the CCU stuff but it pops up from time to time in completely vanilla packs too, like graves in my old Reconstruction flavor pack that might still drop those (and due to workshop issues I can't update packs that old anymore).

It's annoying but they'll actually drop an item on the ground (usually a bear trap or water gun) with the string as a name, so just avoid those and it shouldn't affect gameplay. Worst case scenario you can also drop everything else and then bait a thief into taking it off your hands.

Obviously I still try to fix instances of this wherever I can, but some will probably slip into custom content from time to time so it seems worth pointing out what it is and how people can recognize and deal with it in the moment.

I think it's this one, not playing with CCU, I encounter a bug when destroying some gravestones in the park, throwing with some error message. Every time this is triggered, I permanently lose an inventory slot. It's just blank and unusable. Only other packs I'm currently using: SoV1 & SoV2, and EoV1/2, but the former two never gave me issues in the past and the latter two... well, it wasn't happening in any area anywhere near an elevator.
Might want to check its compatibility for non-CCU users.

I'm not sure I understand the issue, if there is no computer on a floor then the hacker big quest should automatically complete with a "floor clear" message (which is a thing that can happen in vanilla runs too, particularly in the park). If it's failing then that probably means a computer was present but got destroyed somehow, which honestly might be the pack's fault since there are more NPC in-fighting opportunities that could conceivably cause some very unlucky destruction right as the level starts but I don't think any chunks included should be causing this to happen consistently.

Did this happen with or without the optional mods? If the latter it's also possible that some version of some mod had an obscure bug which failed the quest, I don't know of any at the moment but it's not impossible (like I think a version of roguelibs many months ago had some hacking related issues, but those should be long patched by now).

Awesome variety added within these. However I have ran into instances where the Big Quest for the hacker is impossible to complete on some generations. I don';t know if that's a me problem or a bug in the generation, just thought i'd mention

Please make it so that the custom charecters can be talked to like a normal NPC
