FAL - Dark Green

Description
This is a reskin of the FAL within Insurgency. This skin gives the FAL a fine wooden stock that is coloured a dark, pale green colour along with both the grip and pistol grip, similar to a standard G3A3 rifle. The metallic components of the FAL have also been worn heavily. Both first person and world models included.

I've seen this requested a few times on other items, so I decided to fulfill it. As always, please rate accordingly and comment with other suggestions and feedback related to the skin. Thanks for subscribing!

Nice sorta crossover idea. Would be awesome if there was a G3-esque forend available for the FAL in real life.

I'm not entirely sure if things have changed wih the latest update, primarily because I think my Makarov skin has been broken recently and won't work anymore. On top of that, it's been a while since I did any skinning for Insurgency, so I can't remember much of the process at all.

I hope you manage to get your problem fixed though, best of luck. :D:

By any chance can you explain how you have this mod working? I work on skins myself, and in this most recent update I can't get any of them to work in game. I am not a super experienced skin maker so I'm not sure what I can do to fix them. The weapons i'm working on are the m9, 1911, and mp5 currently. I have the models made but cannot get them to show up properly.

Currently im exporting my VTF's to this directory. Example being the m9

F:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\custom\skins\materials\models\weapons\m9 then wpn_m9_d.vtf

I'm not sure if the directory is the issue or what. Hopefully you can enlighten me. I spent 6 hours messing with it today and couldn't get them to work.

The green versions of the FAL are not as dark or shiny, and are actually made from plastic, not wood. The hand grip is also green. Here's an example from PhotoBucket [s818.photobucket.com].
