Hum, sorry: I kind of left that mod in WIP, on the side. But yeah, it was part of a slightly bigger mod.
I had ideas, though it turned out that the latest H.E. mod was best overall, although there are still the Silverin Guards (Spearmen) who aren't quite to my taste.
One main idea I had was to separate a bit more the Silverin Guards from the regular Spearmen, in their overall look, but also the Spearmen to give them a better piercing damage, more like the W.E. Spearmen.
I also have another Shield design for the Lothern Sea Guards that fits with the Spearmen shield you see in the screenshot.
In the end, as I've been saying before: changing little things in the designs, cosmetic look, makes it for bigger work because it feels when you touch something, you got to touch other things.
Maybe... Can't say for sure. This spear mod was part of some model editing tests I did before more complicated edits on the unit bodies.
You didn't read description, did you?
Well it's just about an extra 1.5 feet for spears.
However I remember seeing a table about weapon length that says spear is 1. Some other weapons are 2, and 3. That was before I changed the model.
So I'm not sure the effect of that table and how it can change things if I set it to 1.5 or 2
The units bumping in each others is because I made units walk in line and some just walked faster, on their way to run - same with the cavalry walking behind as they are bit faster....
There wouldn't be bumping in each other if I had made them walk in battle formation.
For unit spacing, I'll look into it. That isn't graphical detail, so I might need a bit of time to figure that out.
Thanks!
Note: even with original spears there are animation and clipping issues
