If the author is not keen on your idea (maybe he doesn't have time or doesn't love the Dawi?) you could definitely give it a shot yourself. I'm no modder, but from what I understand, you'd have to
- get RFPM file manager by Frobo and understand what it does - apparently there's a well documented guide on how to make mods too, a fully case study if you will
- open your downloaded copies of this mod (where you like the animations) and another Rune Golem mod where you don't like them in RFPM from where Steam downloads them, trying to understand what the modders did
- mix and match until it works for you in a local .pack file
- possibly upload that one day (giving proper credits if you reuse parts of someone's work)
Now, this might be a little more complicated - especially step 3! - when you're actually doing it, but I hear lovely folks at "Da Miodding Den" on Discord help unexperienced modders patiently along the steps that are less intuitive ;) Maybe this helps. Good luck!
