(LWOTC) Shotgun overwatch range cap

Description
LWOTC has unused feature that caps the range of shotgun weapons when firing in overwatch.
See the video attached for demonstration

By default with this mod, anyone on overwatch while holding shotgun weapons will not fire on enemies beyond 6 tile radius. At 6 tiles the shotgun has no range penalties (It has +4 aim to hit)

Otherwise, without this cap, the most likely event you encounter is your soldiers wasting their attacks against enemies dashing on the other side of the street with next to no chance to ever hit them if you combine overwatch and long range penalties together.

If you are using AML, you can change the radius to your liking, but 6 is baseline.

Thanks for the mod! I'm going to test it in my game right away.

I very much doubt it's in the base game. While Pavonis was still doing post-release work on LW2, JL confirmed there was no vanilla feature for reaction fire range in XCOM 2 (it was a weapon stat in XCOM: EU/EW).

He eventually coded it in as a QoL feature. I did a happy-dance and stopped whining about the issue. :)

Although thanks for the heads up that the ini has it disabled in LWOTC. I just started with it and was wondering what was wrong with my shotguns. I got spoiled by that ini setting in LW1.

@Mrvecz No it doesn't.. Well, not a big problem, we still have "Smart overwatch" in tactical options mod that almost solves this as well.

@Mille.

This feature, alongside others is located in LWOTC/Config/XComLW_SoldierSkills
Line 307

XcomLW_Overhaul and XcomGameCore containts other features, things like HP of data taps, reinforcement rates, value of items (Like how much ablatative does item give)

Very handy! Where is this feature located among the lwotc ini's?

@Pudge or feed

I dont know, but it will probably not work in WOTC because this mod relies on using LWOTC specific lines that i dont know if they are present in WOTC.
You can try it i guess ?

lwotc only? No wotc support?
