(1.10.8) Steamboat Albany 1790 | Early Prototype Steamboat

As one of the first steam powered boats in the world, the Albany sure was a strange sight on the Delaware River. Masts with billowing sails were replaced by a smoking funnel, and men rowing oars were replaced by mechanically driven oars. Though it was successful at carrying passengers and cargo at a steady 4 knots, it wasn't financially profitable and its inventor couldn't keep it running.


-Top speed: 4 Knots
-Length: 20.5 Meters
-Width: 4.75 Meters
-Height: 6.5 Meters


-Fully functional mechanically driven oars
-Simulated walking beam steam engine
-1 boiler
-1 small cargo hold
-Small enclosed passenger area
-1 bilge pump for the cargo hold


-Simply turn the key on the boiler
-when temperature reaches 100, steam should start generating
-Make sure it's filled with coal


-This was just a fun 3 day project so it's nothing too crazy
-No, there is no sink switch
-Can be operated at low physics setting (it does go a little funny though)
