051 223 Jinan (1971)

The destroyer "Jinan", whose port number was changed from 223 to 105, was the first destroyer of type 051 built by China in the late 1960s. This type of ship is the first generation missile destroyer developed by China itself.

The ship is equipped with two 130 mm double barrel naval guns, three 57 mm double barrel mechanism guns, and two 25 mm double barrel mechanism guns. The ship has a full load displacement of 3670 tons, driven by two steam turbines, with a total power of 72000 horsepower, a maximum speed of 32 knots, and a range of 2970 nautical miles.

The destroyer Jinan was built by Dalian Shipyard. It was started on December 24, 1968, launched on July 30, 1970, and served in the North Sea Fleet of the Chinese Navy on December 31, 1971.
