Prototype Electric Bogie with Dynamic Braking

Description
Rather than having an electric motor outside the bogie, this design packs a medium electric motor inside the bogie itself, much like the bogies of real diesel-electric locomotives. Each bogie would therefore can be independently controlled giving it greater flexibility and redundancy.

And like its real-life counterpart, it comes with dynamic braking. In essence, rather than wasting the kinetic energy of the locomotive when braking, a dynamic brake converts that kinetic energy into useful electrical energy which then can be used to charge your batteries (aka. regenerative) or dissipate heat via resistors (aka. rheostatic). Utilizing a dynamic brake on steep hills or slowing down means less wear on conventional brakes. (Important to note, this is not a replacement for a conventional brake as it cannot bring a locomotive to a standstill).

In addition to that, this bogie has a micro-controller that manages your brakes and throttle. In addition, it has a built-in anti-slip controller that measures the speed of the bogie; converts that into a target RPS; and then measures the discrepancy between that and the actual RPS so it won't exceed the target. Much like PIDs but with functions. All this means that wheel-slippage are a thing of the past, so you can concentrate on other tasks rather than continuously managing the throttle to prevent wheel-slippage.

This modular design means you can simply weld it into any electric locomotive, plug in the components, and you have a fully functional, self-controlling bogie. Perfect for any locomotives that might have issues with wheel slippage or space.

i really thought people would start using the new wheels but i see literally no trains using the new wheels

will you do a triple wheel bogie?

I was just sitting and testing more on your Bogies and I realized that you can put the Bogies on the train cars as well so you train is only needs to produce the electricity but each train cars can pull itself and break if you just put the logic through the train cars, it just got me to love your creation even more

I have used this in a Diesel-Electric train and uploaded it with a link in the credits, I know i should have checked first but is this OK?

I will agree with thmaster123, it is amazing and well done, it's going to help a lot of people with diesel electric locomotives.

This thing is amazing, finally I can build a train as somebody who struggles with logic and PID's. Any chance you could make versions with the other new bogeys?
