Gemini Extended Range Recon Craft

Designed by L3 Engineering Technologies for long range reconnaissance, the Gemini System incorporates two ships flying in tandem to reach the mission zone using a long range gravity drive. Once within the mission zone, the Gemini System can detach and fly multi-objective reconnaissance in advance of a fleet. Acceleration whilst operating in tandem mode is exceptionally high with the gravity drive activated. In its separated configuration, the Gemini System has a low visual profile and still maintains superior acceleration/manoeuvrability for evading intercepting spacecraft.

As reconnaissance craft the Gemini System is not weaponized, though weapon or cargo pods can potentially be added to suit certain mission profiles as needed with a negligible change in performance.

Design notes:
1. The gravity drive is intended to be used only when the Gemini System is docked in a tandem configuration. Use of the drive whilst separated is not recommended.
2. Gravity drive startup sequence is to first turn on the gravity drive main power, then turn off inertial dampeners.
3. Separation sequence is to first turn off the associated merge blocks and then turn on ventral thrusters. Reverse sequence for docking.
