Description
Since I am such a narcissist, the first character I made is a fantastical caricature of myself, "Bat." He wields an axe with the power of lightning granted to him by his favorite yugioh card. He is powerful and rather quick, but generally lacks range and is rather light.

SPECIAL MECHANICS: CHARGE
A CHARGEd Bat is a good Bat, a healthy Bat. CHARGE increases the power of the next special move. A regular special will use yellow effects, while the CHARGE variant will use blue effects. If Bat has CHARGE, his axe will glow.

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: THUNDERCUT
A small invulnerability window followed by an upward axe swing. This move can be canceled into after the Axe swing of the A combo. CHARGE is granted by being hit during the invulnerability window. The CHARGE version will strike twice and can be canceled into any other attack during its endlag.

SIDE SPECIAL: CHARGING CHARGE
Bat moves horizontally to command grab an opponent. CHARGE is granted if the grab is successfully executed. If the attack misses, Bat will become helpless until landing. CHARGE variant moves much faster, is a little stronger, and grants invulnerability. If a foe is grabbed, they will be launched upwards instead of away. Also, the CHARGE version's endlag can be canceled into another move (try Up B).

UP SPECIAL: SKYBOLT
Quick vertical movement that will carry foes upward. CHARGE is granted if the attack hits an opponent at the apex of the vertical movement. This sweetspot will also deal increased damage and knockback. Can be reversed if backwards is pressed right after executing the move. The CHARGE version moves Bat higher, faster, and is a bonavide KO move.

DOWN SPECIAL: LIGHTNING LANCE
Bat releases a small lightningbolt from the tip of his axe. The ground version fires horizontally while the air version fires downwards at an angle. The attack is weak, except when the tip of the attack lands. Landing the sweetspot grants CHARGE. The CHARGE version deals slight stun and the sweetspot is much stronger.

ULTRA: THUNDERFORCE
A strong melee attack that sets up foes to be highly damaged by the most powerful lightning strike. Using the move grants CHARGE, even on wiff.

OTHER NOTES
CHARGE moves will not grant CHARGE like their regular counterparts except for Neutral Special.
Up Air can be canceled into Up B by pressing B.

Really creative moveset and animations. Up throw feels super satisfying, hehe. I love your characters!

Some constructive criticism:
- Lightning fx could be given a glow effect in the editor. Would make them a lot more impactful and stand out more.
- You should try playing with the Z, Y and X dimensions of your characters body parts during animations. For example, you could make his legs longer and thicker during the active part of down air. Or you could increase the thickness of his torso during the second hit of jab! This would take polish to the next level up.
- Arm doesn't grab ledge during ledge grab

Overall awesome job though, he deserves more attention :)
