Description
Conway, NH
This map was modeled after Conway, New Hampshire, USA (43.978847, -71.118481). It's a semi rural area near the White Mountains with small interstates right through town square and iconic covered bridges. There are many dirt roads in real life and small developments. There is also an old railway connection that was abandoned and severed when car dependency rose, but I connected it again if you want to play through history or revitalize it. It has almost 2.6M trees so you will need Tree Anarchy and a good computer to play. Surprisingly, it looks great with just vanilla trees and no custom assets! Start square has water and natural resources but I recommend using water towers so you don't dry the river. Recommended for intermediate+ players who want to feel guilty cutting down the forest for development.

Recommended Map Theme:
It looks just as good with the vanilla Temperate theme but feel free to customize as desired.

Assets:
Vanilla

DLC:
Mass Transit

Instructions
  1. Enable mods in Content Manager.
  2. In the Options Panel, Optimized Outside Connections -> Disable Dummy Traffic -> Road Traffic.
  3. In the Options Panel, select Tree Anarchy. Main Options tab -> set Maximum Tree Limit > 2,600,000 trees, uncheck Lock Forestry, uncheck Persistent lock on forestry resources. Tree Anarchy tab -> uncheck Tree Anarchy.
  4. Start the map.
  5. If you have TMPE, delete the default dummy traffic that spawns on the road. Otherwise you can wait until the traffic un-jams. There shouldn't be any more through traffic after it clears, so carefully plan your development accordingly to road capacity.

Bonus Challenge:
Load it in map editor, place a train station with Find it, bulldoze outside highway connections, and play transit oriented development.

Made in game version 1.15.0-f7. Although I've been playing for a while, this is my first map :)

If you have the time and will, I would love to see a fall edit.

Also love just having the highways then duplicating everything from scratch like the real world

Love the option of disabling traffic to make the map work, but it took a minute to work (not sure if it was the options turned the wrong way up). Also I like the use LHS mode which breaks the three-lane roads

I absolutely love it! I've never actually played on any map as long as this one. Really grabbed my attention! Thank you so much!

I used this exact town as a main location in a fanmade extension of an analog horror series that I was making in the comments of the videos in the series (The location was closer to Redstone though). Trippy.

@YUMBL Thanks! My grandparents retired there and I have many memories swimming the lakes, hiking, and skiing
