Lost, and helpless you must navigate through the horrors that infest Black Mesa and come out the other end to survive.

---Launching The Map---
Launch Black Mesa, go to the "Workshop" tab, select "Survivor" from the list.

Open the console with the '~' key, type in "map lb_comp3_survivor", and press enter.

---About---
This map was created for the Lambda Builds Mapping Competition #3: "Escape from Black Mesa". The runtime of this map, during playtesting, came too around 10-12 minutes on average.

While this map isn't really the kind of gameplay I enjoy or look for, I have to say it's very well done. Usually, stealth in a Source game is painful at best, but I clearly understood what was going on from the first area. While I didn't finish the map because, again, I don't usually enjoy this type of gameplay, I have to give credit where it's due.

The only thing I'd offer critique on is that the soundscapes could maybe use a little more work. It felt very quiet which, while it helped when it came to listening for approaching aliens, otherwise just felt off.

Honestly, it's interesting to see a map that makes take a more slow and stealthy approach rather than going in all guns blazing. You have to run, think, and live, but not shoot. Good map!

It's not often that you see stealth well done in Half-life, and this was it. I loved it! Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful creation with us!
