Description
New for RE2 (beta): Now a Core 6 for full compatibility. Added 4 basic Plasma Turbines and 4 Standard Turbines and idles at -1.7k. Added new Effects and 1 Universal Constructors. Advanced Teleporter(50LY) and 2 Enhanced Matter Transceivers for extended range have been added.

Reconfigured to add 2 universal module ports to greatly expand this base for more usefulness.

This is an updated/upgraded [REFORGED 2] 1.12+ version of the design by Stellar Titan. This core 5, level 20 Outpost comes with 3 X 640k Container controllers, 1 X 40k Ammo controller, and 19 color coded and speed sorted cargo boxes. For production it has 1 Universal constructors, 1 Advanced Constructor, 2 Small constructors, 1 De-constructor, and 2 Furnaces. Two miniguns and 8 Sentrys provided for minimal protection.

I subscribed to this base(Stellar Titan’s first upload?!!??) when it first came out two years ago. It had the most beautiful open floor design that I had experienced in a “circular” style space station. It was very interesting and immersive for play. Not too big, or small, and perfect for single/multiplayer. However, as much as I wanted to use this for a play through I could never justify it because of the RE solar panel problem and little production available.

I like space station outposts that make you feel comfortable. When you are very far from home a large open interior design, this beautiful, is greatly desired in my opinion. It’s openness allows for things to be found easier and reduces anxiety.

So when 1.8+ RE came out and allowed 640k Container controllers I finally decided to upgrade this base. I tried very hard to maintain the original looks/dynamics and maybe improve the overall feeling(space Feng Shui).

The Teleporter has been moved to the Main hub for convenience.

The repair bay has been moved to the top of the base for a more convenient/needed CV/SV repair capability. Repair console is also now located in the Main hub.

Subtle lighting adjustments, dual lighting modes, and many new colorful deco displays added.

Ready to add 36 grow plots if needed/desired. 1X2 glass panels will need to be removed to properly grow.

Solar panels must be perpendicular to the sun on RE space stations in order to function properly. 24 solar panels used as compactly as possible to not betray original aesthetics. If placed within 3AU of a sun you will have all the power you need for many upgrades.

The Shield has been removed to save CPU. Minimal protection provided for drones only! With CPU upgrades you can add a shield and up to 18 Turret locations marked outside of the base. I almost always place my Space stations directly in front of the sun which as of 1.9+ do not get attacked.

CPU upgrades will allow more furnaces, turrets, and storage in the bottom most hangar.
