    Our History

This community was founded back in 2010, when the original cRPG mod was released for Mount and Blade Warband. cRPG changed a lot for Warband in that it enabled melee combat with a character progression system, similar to what you would see in Singleplayer.

Although the original developers have moved on, we have a new team seeking to keep cRPG alive and rebuild it in Bannerlord!

Ofc, I'm certainly not somebody who promotes censorship. Only time I'd be removing stuff from here are for actual malicious actors.

Plus not much sense in hiding the fact that cRPG has a grind, any player who tries the game out will find out soon enough that it exists regardless!

I like that we agree to disagree and our comments are left for others to think for themselves.

If that's not for you, then that's totally fine, it is your prerogative to dislike games/mods with grind, and I wish you the best in the next mod you look at :D

BL MP is about skill, not what flavour of items you are wearing. Learn how to fight with your team, learn how to block, learn footwork. You will be 1000 times more useful with these things than a shiny set of armour. Do the items help? Sure, but everyone can obtain these items, it just takes time to earn enough to wear them.

The reason the grind exists is because this mod is intended to last for a long time, and it has because not everything is handed to you on a silver platter day 1.

Yes, and you will be on near-to the same level as them provided you have the requisite skills.

To quote our new player guide:

"You are not a superstar like in Single Player. A very important tip shows that cRPG is highly dependent on skill as crutching on level, arms and armor will only help you so much.

" It needs to be underlined that cRPG is not primarily about leveling your character but your own skill.

New players think that they can go to level 30 buy the expensive equipment and start chopping the enemy. That is not the case.

Well mark me as the second person to say it in recent times. It is mobile game levels of progress out there. You will fight people who have grinded hundreds of hours if not thousands.

If you don't like the mod, fair enough, don't play it. But don't make incredibly daft and inane comparisons that are unequivocally false.
ladoea von Krems  [author] 30 Jul @ 6:28pm
Except for the fact that:

- There are no microtransactions
- This isn't a mobile game
- We don't charge you any money to play our mod
- You're making a completely false equivalence by comparing a mod with grind attached to a mobile game with microtransactions.

Besides all of those things above, yeah, we're JUST like that.
Hidden Draco 30 Jul @ 6:22pm
"If you play a pvp mobile game just for fun then predatory cashgrab microtransations wont affect you as much! " - The Devs literal comment below mine

Fair enough, sounds like the mod probably isn't for you - Appreciate you trying it out either way, best of luck!

One thing to note, you already have access to all the content from the very start. Retiring is just a tool used to get heirloom points for a buff to your items and to increase your XP rate.

If you treat the game like a grind, it'll be a grind, if you just play the game and have fun, it's not a grind :D
