Description
Add one or two banners to units in SWO-RD main mod.

DOCUMENTATION
The documentation of all the mods part of SWO-RD is available here as a PDF document[drive.google.com].

This mod add one or two bannermen to infantry and cavalry unit. This is only for SWO-RD main (not campaitble with Vanilla).
Units have a "type" banner, shared by all the units of the same type, whatever their faction (but it is faction coloured).
And an origin banner, based on the region where it is recruited, or the allied faction when recruitng via outpost.

Warning: the required textures and models are included in separate packs, one for each race. This mod adds the definition of the bannermen in the tables, required to activate them. But without the resource pack, the banners won't be visible in game!

Races currently supported

Animated banners
- Cathay
- Kislev

Static banners:
- High Elves

Other races will be added regularly.

Note: the mod is optional, since it has been reported that banners could generate a bug in post battle (with crazy numbers such as 2000% replenishment). I don't consider this game breaking, but maybe you do.
So if you use the mod, you've been warned!


Note: the shader used to “animate” the banner via a Wind effect was working with WH2 but is bugged in WH3. High Elves banners are therefore static (no animation), until a better solution can be found

SWO-RD uses the banner models from this mod, big thanks to the team, and especially Dietrich for his hints and advice. However, the officers and banner textures are specific to SWO-RD. It is recommended not to enable the Battle Standard & Officer together with SWO-RD. This can have compatibility issues, like units showing the officers or banner from both mods at the same time.

Keep something in mind: this only work for SWO-RD mod. I don't plan to make it work for Vanilla, or other mods.

That's the goal. I plan to do it after I finish Beastmen icons for WH3, before the next DLC is released. I'm not sure I have time to do ALL the races in one go, but I'll make as many as I can, and finish the rest later.
Adding Officers at the same time

Textures are OK. The animation was based on "wind effect", and so a bit static.

its not a problem with people about the textures. just cool to see banner men in the mod which makes a army i army.

This is very time consuming to do. I'll do that, but in quite a long time, after I have finished all the races with regional recruitment.
However, I did banners for WH2. The textures and models were OK, but they had an "animation of the poor". The good thing with this: they are much easier and faster to do.
So my idea is to try porting this mod as a kind of placeholder, and then later possibly redo them.

Not yet, I plan at least to fix the animations after changes from CA in SoC<
And later I'd like to expand with more races, but it's very time consuming and I have a lot of other things to mod first.
