*NOTICE* All of my screenshots are taken with my certified potato pc™.
This means (at least in theory) that my custom units will look better on your high-end machine (if you do have one).
So don't be scared off by my horrible screenshots, thanks.

*NOTICEX2* All of these custom models are LOD 0 only.
This means that (aside from the units' impostor models generated at long distances) these custom units will not lose details when zooming out.
This may result in a minor or moderate impact on your FPS.

*Please consult the Known Issues and QA sections before commenting, thanks.*

Please notice that the units' stats screenshot was taken with the unit size setting set to large, so expect more HP and unit models if you are playing on Ultra.

This mod adds the following units for The Dwarfs, respectively:

-Iron Dragons [Capped at 4]
-Iron Dragons (Great Weapons) [Capped at 4]

They all have access to officers.
You'll find them in the Dwarfs' main barrack building chain.
You'll also need a tier 3 Dwarf smith as an additional building.

Ok, presentation over: let's dive into the technical stuff!

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess too much with vanilla units.
Should be usable with an ongoing campaign but in my opinion You should not take any chances and use this mod on a brand new campaign to avoid any problems.

*KNOWN ISSUES*
-If You are experiencing weird glowing effects on the units then please use this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2922534576 until CA officially fixes that issue.
-Missing textures with certain graphic settings/while looking from certain angles: LOD issues/missing textures issues can be caused by low settings, LOD mods, Immortal Empires BETA bugs and/or even some faulty version of H3ro asset editor.
Translated= I generally can't do anything about that.
If you are experiencing low poly models+missing textures related to the current state of the game there isn't a common solution that works for everyone, but I managed to fix that by doing the following:
-Disable Sharpening
-Enable FXAA
-Enable Unlimited video memory

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif


...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

*QA*

Because these ARE Toumaï's models.
I used those models as a base and then modified them to my liking to create these units.
You see, initially I was planning to release this mod back in Warhammer 2 as a submod for one of Toumaï's mods but since I was already late with making the jump to Warhammer 3, I just decided to put this one on ice and to finish it in Warhammer 3, believing that Toumaï would eventually made the jump as well.
Fast-forward to today and I have nothing but bad news regarding that.
Toumaï is currently ignoring all the port requests under any of his mods and on top of that he's also refusing to communicate through discord.
You see, I once got his discord contact to help him fix minor stuff related to his Dwarf Phalanx mod, we had a nice little chat and overall he seemed like a nice guy.
So a few days ago I tried to get in touch with him again through discord and asked him if he could confirm to me if he was going to port his Warhammer 2 mods to 3 since I also do have some of my Warhammer 2 mods tied to his Dwarf Phalanx mod and all I got was...a whole lot of nothing.
And I'm pretty sure that he just completely ignored me since he had plenty of time to reply to my question and he has also been multiple time online since then.
Kinda disheartening, to be honest.
Putting all of that aside though: I'm not friend with Toumaï, I don't know him well and I can't possibly know what is going on with him.
So take the following statement with a pinch of salt: From what I'M seeing and from MY perspective, it seems like Toumaï doesn't care about modding anymore and will not port his stuff from Warhammer 2 anytime soon.
So if you are familiar with Toumaï works and skilled enough to port his stuff (you should have prior experience with custom animations and scripts) you might just want to consider porting his stuff here on the Warhammer 3 workshop (with proper credits of course).
EDIT: Since 04/10/2023 Toumaï made the jump to the Warhammer 3 modding scene.
He still didn't get in touch with me though.

-"Lord's Red line?Tech buffs?"
I gave them generic Dwarfs' infantry and Ironbreakers unit sets so they should get buffs related to those sets.

-"SFO/Radious ecc. ?"
As a matter of fact I'm officially retired from SFO/Overhaul related mods.
As always: If you already have previous experience in SFO submodding feel free to make an SFO version out of any of my mods that are currently missing one, I will link your submods if you provide me with a link.

-"Your mods are ugly and janky, why? just why?"
Here's a friendly reminder: I'm just an amateur and nothing more.
If you want beautiful stuff with no jank then stick with CA and/or professional modders and avoid my mods, simple as that really.

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that I will not be updating any of my mods in time for the Chorfs update because my potato PC has finally left me after years of honoured service.
I have already found a replacement, but since I still need to know the shipment data and because of other shenanigans going on, I can't give you an exact ETA on when I'll be back.
You have my full permission to take and update any of my mods, but keep in my mind that I'll be back eventually and I'm going to update the OG ones.
Now I know that some of you might want to leave a comment to cheer me up or ask me some questions but please DO NOT do that and keep the comment section clean so that people can read this comment and understand why I'm not updating my stuff.
Thanks for all the support and see you again when my new rig arrives.

No, sorry.
Sadly it IS a big deal for me.
As it is explained in the Unit Cards discussion present in pretty much all of my released mods, my unit cards are trash and will always be trash no matter what I do.
I am simply unable to improve or polish any ui/art related content.
Chances are that remaking the unit card would result in an even worse looking card, which is highly possible considering that pretty much all of my unit cards are ugly and distorted.

Hey love the mod, you've done an awesome job! but any chance to make the unit card a little better on mine its like all distorted and its hard to see any detail in the unit card not a big deal just a polishing up thanks again for this mod

I have uninstalled Warhammer 2 for space reasons long ago and don't have access to Warhammer 2's content anymore, I'm only porting my stuff from Warhammer 2 because I saved it in advance on external drives.
On top of that I'm not 100% sure about the Ironfeathers but the Iron Brotherhood had scripted stuff and I barely understand any of that.
Theoretically you can easily recover the Dwarf Phalanx one by deleting the old animations and assigning _D3rpyN3wb_'s Dwarf Polearms values but if memory serves right there were also custom abilities tied to the old animation that would either need to be deleted or reworked.
Ideally you should try to find someone with more experience than me and that is already familiar with Toumaï works, so consider joining Da Modding Den https://discord.com/invite/s6NTHQ8 .
They can help you more than I could ever do and you can also learn some modding related stuff.

Still don't think you could give it a shot to try and port the iron brotherhood, iron feathers, and phalanx mods from warhammer 2 over? I tried personally and i cant figure it out. You're a great modder imo and I've downloaded almost all of your work. The community would really appreciate it if you could even try
