Description
Small Town USA

Hello y'all! Today I bring you another small town Texas map, this time it's the town of Brownwood, TX! This map is 100% vanilla apart from Mass Transit and a recommended theme that's not required for gameplay. I don't have much to say about the town itself, so I'll let Wikipedia do a little talking.
From Wikipedia:
Brownwood is a city in and the county seat of Brown County, Texas, United States. The population was 18,862 at the 2020 census. Brownwood is located in the Northern Texas Hill Country and is home to Howard Payne University that was founded in 1889.

Map Information
As stated before, this map is 100% vanilla apart from Mass Transit and a recommended theme, which is the SCT-Plains theme by Raffa. Here, there are over 4 road connections, 3 rail connections, 4 plane connections, and 0 ship connections. There's around 200k-210k trees so there's still plenty of space for your own trees here without any mods as well.

Other Information
Not much else to add except for my Patreon and Paypal links, and of course a thank you to everyone who even clicks on this map in the first place! Be sure to like this if you like it, and let me know in the comments if you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the map! Thank y'all! :D

Ah, that's funny. I lived in Brownwood for a few months during EMT school, never would have expected to find a map of it for Cities Skylines lmao

@Mattvogel Thank you! I definitely agree that water in this game sucks to work with alot of the time. My best advice to deal with it is if there's a large body of water (lake, deep river, etc.) use the sea level tool and for smaller ones like the river on this map, use the water spawn tool. I struggle with motivation too, especially with having other stuff irl to deal with like work and getting distracted with other ideas. As for dealing with that, I try to kinda hyperfocus in a way to shut out the other ideas and just create it at my own pace to deal with everything else. Sometimes my maps can take a few days to make, others weeks, others I just simply don't touch for months until I just decide to load it up again lol. Hopefully those work for you! If you have any other questions or anything else, feel free to ask whatever whenever! :steamhappy:

Your maps are very good, So I'm wondering, do you have any tips for building maps?
Specifically, I am able to build a nice map, I just can't figure out why Paradox thought water works the way it does in game. Also, I can't really stay motivated.

So any tips for staying motivated and getting the water to actually work?

@Margaret Applebottoms Eh true, but that is generally how the city is irl so not much I could do without changing alot of the map :(
@[IDF] KRASH Thank you! Yeah, the map size is a bit small but thankfully that doesn't stop you from creating awesome cities :D
@linustn Thank you and you're welcome! Glad I could recreate somewhere special to you! :)

My grandparents are from Brownwood, and I spent many a summer there visiting. Thank you for this!

Love this map - clean, simple, and ready to build!

Although Brownwood is a small town, this takes up most of the available map... it really shows just how small Cities Skylines map-size limit is :/

The lack of any major highways make the start very very difficult since traffic is horrendous on those connections. If your playing with everything unlocked its an easy work around i suppose.
