USS Manta

One of the first ships I built. It has surprising mobility, but it's light armor leaves a lot to be desired. I originally designed this to be more of a tank than the other ships I had in the fleet so it's a little ironic that way.

Story-wise, it's meant to be a bruiser. It's more heavily armored than more common patrol craft ,and it would be utilized as a quick reaction force in case of a more heavily armed incursion. It'd often be coupled with other ships that would screen for it and protect its weaker flanks.
