WELCOME TO FORT KRAKEN

---LORE---
Officer, we know you're on vacation, but you're one of our best men, thus your battalion will be tomorrow sent to one of the largest enemy bases in this part of archipelago. It has come to our knowledge Ravens have established seriously dangerous satellite network and this fortification bears one of the critical satellite dishes - taking this under our control means taking out a whole sector of archipelago. Last night our Spec-Ops squads set up some jammers on the shore, so noone is gonna know what warcrimes you and your men will be doing once you disembark.

But this is the least of our concerns. You see... Umm... Remember that prime quality booze we ordered for your battalion about 2 months ago? Well... Due to an error in shipment directive the cargo arrived to a pier localized just beside the fort Kraken... We're terribly sorry, but if you want that booze, or what's left of it, you better get go~ HEY! WHERE ARE YOU RUNNING? ITS MY PERSONAL HELICOPTER, YOU MOTHERF~

Enjoy your fight on this beautiful large island! Great falls, warm sun, beach, and only a dosen hundred ravens to try and stop you on your vacation!

My largest project yet, it includes

-Stunning visuals wherever my imagination let me!
-Little eye-pleasing details to set you into the mood!
-Great landscape, room for a hundred men!
-Each part of the map feeling different from the rest!
-Extensive navmesh and visibility fixes for enjoyable play!
-1 (One) attack helicopter. Probably replace with smth less deadly than default one.
-Day/Night lighting changes.

QnA
-How many bots?
-50 and more. This map supports fights of up to 80 bots without feeling overpopulated. And unlike "some" garbage maps that rely on absurd amount of bots to be fun, I can enjoy it with just 40 bots.

-What about performance?
-Im... Uh... Look, my laptop can somewhat okay-ish support 40 to 50 bots without visible slowdown or lags. But my laptop is absolutely GARBAGE and can't run Citadel or Archipelago with more than 40 bots. You should be fine as long as you're not on same garbage Lenovo as I am using.

-Recommended gamemodes?
-All of them. For real. Probably set up long matches because murder is skyrocketing here.

-If you have trouble running alot of bots, then try "Domination" with 30-40 bots, its one of a few maps that is super fun in this mode!

-SPEC-OPS???
-YESSS!!!

-Anything else I should know?
-Can you leave a rate and a comment please? It took me alot of effort, compared to my other maps! ^_^

Cool Map Development Facts
Did you know that...

-...On first concept Fort Kraken was just a bamboo hut? But due to extensive verticality of that area this point was too disconnected from the rest and reworked completely.

-...The map went through three iterations, each being completely differrent concept until it worked?

-...Two points were added in the last 2 days of development to help solve navigation issues for bots?

-...Stunning waterfalls were originally meant to have a cave with one of the points behind? But due to engine limitations, bots couldn't reach there.

-...It took 3 days to fix all bot pathfinding issues?

-...anyone, who took part in playtesting beta version of this map had fun? :D

-Update hoping to improve navmesh and fix ladders that have been slightly borked with last update to decimal points.
-Also, added proper metadata (amount of bots, background, display name, that good stuff)

wonderfully optimized and fun map, I wouldn't say my computer is a potato but the CPU could be better. Really fun with just 40 bots too, which is great since it means you don't have to choke your computer just to have fun with a sizeable number of bots. Overall great aesthetic and map design.

Alright, that sounds fragged up exactly in the style of this game, Ima see if I can attempt to fix the weird bots thing (I have never encountered this myself, but sounds legit)

Not fixing the chopper firing at walls. I have no idea what the frick is that and how tf do vehicels even work in terms of their brain damage.

You may wanna check out the Piers flag. Choppers just fire at the point indiscriminately (rockets landing at random spot outside the containers) while the defending bots are hidden and well covered by the containers.
Attacking infantry bots just crouch at the gap within the containers right below the flag, and if issued squad order to actually capture it, they walk to the nearby stack of containers and keep clipping through a container and falling to the ground, only to climb up and try again in vain

Since new update changed some things, I tried to improve the map's performance once again. The rule of dumb - less objects = less lag. Changelog noted.
