Swift-LC38

Swift-LC38: A light cargo corvette manufactured by Burning-Industries LLC approx. 65 years ago. The Swift lives up to it's name by being fairly quick despite having a rather rugged, bulky layout. Making this vessel quite a favorite among the fringe systems (and it's many wannabe pirate warlords).

Originally, the swift series was designed as a fast transport vessel, but has since undergone many iterations and branched off into several variants. Due to It's jack-of-all-trade nature however means it can be a little lacking in firepower and major loss of crew during combat situations can make it hard to operate should a foolish cosmoteer overestimate its armor and onboard reactor systems. Despite that, it has many decades of reliable service, and the spacious interior means it's quite popular among its crew and ship enthusiasts alike.

The main strength of the Swift LC-38 is in its overall mobility, cargo capacity and having a lot of room to work with for commanders to retrofit the vessel should it be needed. The forward heavy blaster is also a nice sales pitch.

This model sports a twin reactor layout, expanded sensors, central control room and engine compartment, 36 crew bunks, 26 cargo-slots.

Offensive systems: 2 lasers (1 laser, 1 heavy laser - FF/forward-facing).
Defense systems: 1 Point defense (FF) - 1 Small shield generator (FF).
