Honda Brio

ブリオ (BRIO) は、本田技研工業がアジア新興国向けに生産・販売している、5ドアハッチバック型の小型乗用車である。

ここでは二代目について解説する。

2018年4月19日、インドネシア国際モーターショーにおいてプロトタイプとなる「スモールRSコンセプト」が初公開された。
開発コスト削減のためにプラットフォーム前半部は内外装を含め初代からキャリーオーバーされ、ヘッドランプ、フロントフード等は2017年に大規模マイナーチェンジが実施された兄弟車のモビリオと共通設計のパーツが使用されたが、後半部は完全な新設計となっており、初代から全長が205 mm、ホイールベースが60 mm延長され、後席居住性や荷室スペースの改善に充てられた。

インドネシア仕様のエンジンは全グレードで初代から引き継いだ1.2リットル i-VTECエンジンに統一された。

車名の由来は、イタリア語で「元気」「陽気」を意味する「brio」からの命名。

On April 19, 2018, the prototype "Small RS Concept" was unveiled at the Indonesia International Motor Show.
In order to reduce development costs, the first half of the platform, including the interior and exterior, was carried over from the first generation, and the headlamps, front hood, etc. used the same design parts as the Mobilio, a brother car that underwent a large-scale minor change in 2017. However, the rear half is a completely new design, with a total length of 205 mm and a wheelbase of 60 mm longer than the first generation, which was used to improve rear seat comfort and luggage space.

The Indonesian specification engine was unified to the 1.2-liter i-VTEC engine inherited from the first generation in all grades.

The car's name comes from the Italian word "brio," which means "energetic" and "cheerful."
