Football Manager 2022 Traditional Chinese language file

We, as a studio, continuously review every aspect of Football Manager, including which languages are supported in game. After some detailed analysis, we found that it no longer makes sense from a commercial perspective to support Traditional Chinese (TCH) in game.

Therefore, after careful consideration, we regretfully announce that FM23 will discontinue TCH language support for game and data languages.

We understand that a section of fans will inevitably be disappointed with this announcement.

Despite us no longer officially supporting TCH, it is possible to add custom community created languages to the game. Due to this, we're making the language file from FM22 available in LTF format. This means the file can be edited and updated to be compatible with FM23 by anyone who is willing to do so.

Details on how to do this can be found below.
1. Download the FM22’s TCH LTF file by clicking on the 'Subscribe' button or via the link in the resource section.
2. Go to C:\Users\[Your username]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023\languages
3. Open ‘example.ltf’ with a text reader programme (e.g. Note++[notepad-plus-plus.org]).
4. Copy the new strings from ‘example.ltf’.
5. Paste the new strings in the FM22’s TCH LTF file.
6. Once you have completed and are happy with the localisation, move the TCH LTF file to C:\Users\[Your username]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023\languages
7. Launch FM23 and you should be able to select and use your newly created custom language file.

In addition, we have also decided to share the FM23 Simplified Chinese (SCH) LTF file so users can use the SCH strings as a reference when localising the FM23 strings into TCH.
