Description
Compatible with 1.9.*. Triples the Input, Output, and Pollution Oil Extractors provide.
Compatible with VTM, Load order doesn't matter.
Can be installed mid-game.
Affects everyone, AIs included.
Works for all languages.
----------------------------------------------------------------
1.9 rebalance update
New with 1.8: Paradox fixed chainsaws after 2 years, so that part of the edit is removed.
New with 1.7: Ownership was overhauled, so the ownership edit is removed, 1.7 also see shopkeeper showing up in most buildings, and that has been covered as well.
New with 1.5.10: Fixed rubber plantation ownership PM assignment
New with 1.5.9: Chainsaw(Logging) and Diesel Engine(Motor) now uses less oil, to put them in line with the other PMs. Chainsaw(Logging) now also uses engine instead of tools.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quintuples~Sextuples the amount of Oil Oil Extractors provide. This Mod does not do any history/map edits, thus is compatible with all mods that has not touched bg_oil production methods.

Base tech yields 180 oil per level, final tech yields 360 oil per level. All input numbers are also scaled up to compensate.

The people working in these will be filthy rich, and that might impact your internal politics, which, I think, is realistic.

(The game can't seriously be suggesting a mere few ten-thousand people whaling can equal the oil output of five thousand people maintaining a bunch of oil derricks.)

Justification----------------------------------------------------------------

In a good year, a 40 manned ship can gather 25 barrels of whale oil.

one level of whaling stations in the game employs 5k people. For the sake of argument let's say all 5k are ship crew members, we would expect about 3k barrels of oil from a level of whaling station a year, with base tech this is 15 oil-mana. So we have a general sense of one single oil mana ~= 200 barrels of whale oil annually

by 1900, the US produces 64Mil barrels per year, let's say the 326 mineral-oil-mana-potential somehow covers those numbers, never mind the 64mil figure went up after 1900. Using final production tech, each level of the oil extractor building gives you 100 oil-mana, so here one oil mana ~= 2000 barrels of mineral oil annually

Disregarding the fact that in vic3, quality = quantity, and petro is more useful than whale oil, so by all rights there should be even more of it when compared to whale oil.

I conclude the numbers in the game are wrong.

After rigorous play testing, I believe 300/600 oil per level of oil extractor is the most reasonable amount of oil production from these buildings.

Among the first to tackle this issue, but resorts to map editing, and thus is incompatibility prone

so uhh... any word on what the newly recalculated buffing ratio should be?
Ferrous  [author] 18 Jun @ 6:52am

I'd love a More Oil light that halves the changes here or increases the inputs slightly to cut down on profitability
