Cypress S300

Description

Simplify

Do you really need a roof? What about doors? Are wheels really necessary? Is there anything good on the radio anyway? The answer to most of these questions is no. This was the design brief for the Cypress S300. A dry weight of under 300kg, lots of power, and perfect 50/50 weight distribution were the results.

Add Lightness

Everthing on the S300 serves as many purposes as possible - its internal structure of pipes and microcontrollers are also its external structure of bodywork. While the driver and passenger only use their spines to hold their bones together, through in-depth analysis, engineers found that they could be used as crash structure as well. The authorities did not share this enthusiasm however, and a windshield and roll hoop were reluctantly added for regulatory purposes.

Prototypes are one of my favorite classes and I certainly will. I keep hoping for the right competition with the right rules to come along, to really make both the building and testing experience (for me) and the finished result (for you) extra special.

Could you try making an LMP1/LMDH type car?

Thanks. Just lots of testing and refinement over time. I try something new with every car. Sometimes the experiment has good results, sometimes not so much, but I always learn something.

Love this! I'm creating so much cars in Stormworks (even if you look on my Workshop page, you'll see I have experience in making cars), and I still can't figure out how your cars can stick to the ground so well! I used fins, calculating speed, etc, but your cars still steer SO MUCH better than mine! What is the magic you use?! Anyway, love your creations, I'm a fan [:
