The RnD of the GunRunner Corp was tasked to creat a solution to the wast amount of Asteroid Belts in the Sector, to combat potential threats to local planets, the peeps in RnD came up with an idea to creat a oversized minig rig that would slowly eat its way through any kind of asteroid belt and melt everything away that didnt moved out of its way, thos the Megasized Mining Rig, lovingly called "The U" by its crews was created.

An alternative variant that replaced the mining lasers with ion emitters was deviced to serve a similar purpose on any kind of battlefield, after it had come to an conclusion where the ship would be deployed to help clean up said battlefield and destroy any kind of potential threat that could still be lurking there.
