Teardown Ballistic testing 1 (added AVF tank targets)

Description
A simple map to demonstrate APFSDS shells vs various plates. The shell is vaguely modelled after 3BM22 and the targets are masonry because teardown physics are ♥♥♥♥♥ with high speed metal hitting metal. Press f to launch the shells at the targets. Please suggest other projectiles or armour for me to test and release.

Can you add just AP/HE or APHE?

Yeah I agree with that. While elboydos RPG is a really good mod, what I mean by "pseudo warhead" is that it uses scripts to create the jet and to pierce armour, whereas I want actual voxels of copper and explosives being forced through metal. Sadly not possible in TD atm.

"sort-of pseudo warhead like elboydos RPG" i wish the avf mod had an option to change heat rounds to act like the rpg rounds. feels like they do too much explosive damage to the tanks which hurts realism a bit although it doesnt matter

The medieval crossbow mod is pretty good for that, but as for a hand-held one, I may have to whip that up myself ;)

do you know a weapon or a mod that adds a kinetic shell ? like an AP physical projectile ?

i know its doable since the planegun exists but can't seem to find one

sad

I wish lmao. HEAT would be incredibly hard (if not impossible) to model without making a sort-of pseudo warhead like elboydos RPG. Teardowns physics engine isn't quite ready for high speed superplastic metals yet unfortunately.

maybe HEATFS shells?

Sure! That would be easy. I'll start by adding the standard NATO "heavy-triple" armour plate used in most western tank and ATGM tests. Thanks for playing.

this is really cool, can you extend the map with copies of these plates without a round hitting them? I really like the idea of a ballistics map as alot of the tank mods have unique rounds and ballistics. I think theres a cool niche that no one else has done that you could do really easily
