Properly Weighted Weapons

Description
I recently took a look at all of the weapons available in Caves of Qud and ended up appalled at some of the weights. A lot of the melee weapons are so heavy that they would be incredibly unwieldy and impossible to use effectively. There's a nasty tendency to make two-handed weapons twice as heavy as their one-handed counterparts despite the fact that the heads of warhammers, maces, and axes take up the most weight while the shafts are what's being lengthened. Also, fullerite, whatever the hell it is, seems to be treated incredibly dense in which case, weapons makers are better off making smaller weapons rather than heavier ones.

The guns are even worse as heavier guns make aiming them much harder and there are some ridiculous weights here. The presence of 8 lb. handguns are especially indicative of the fact that the devs have never been to a firing range.

With all that said, this mod intends to make weapons work in a much more realistic fashion but all of the changes made are too numerous to fit here so I put them in a .txt file in the mod folder. I will, however, note that the Ruin of House Isner is changed to fit the specifications of the Magnum Research BFR which is colloquially know as the "Big F***ing Revolver" since its rounds hit harder than a sniper rifle's rounds.

Yeah, my understanding is that the (buckyball) fullerenes referenced are super light materials. They're used to make carbon nanotubes, which are no longer theoretical as of 1991. :chivsalute:

Just named my revolver big iron and solved the problem.

I did not know how much I needed this until I read the mod's description.

i agree

@Ozymandias If that's the case, then fullerite's absurd weight makes even less sense since fullerene has a very low density compared to other building materials.

fullerite is a fictional material based on the theoretical material fullerine, a lattice-work of carbon molecules that is ridiculously strong for its weight

its ok. in that save i was lvl 25 but tried using wishes to rebuild her from lvl 1 up, i have the town building mod and had found a large power station on sublevel 32ish and dragged all the power lines and machines back lol

ho well, i just started out a new character and wished her to the same xp amount.

on the plus side, my new musket is holstered lol :D

@borrowdaledrew This might be a bit rough to say but...

...your save isn't recoverable. Updates used to do this kind of s*** all the time. Luckily, from the looks of things, you aren't losing too much progress so making another one should fix your problem.
