The Accident Button

Description
Keeps track of how long it's been since the last... workplace accident.
Now with record keeping and optional voice commands!

I originally created this about two years ago and put it in a submarine that I have since taken down from the workshop (it was my first attempt). It became a cult standard within my group of friends, and I've since refined and added to it for every sub I've made since then. Other versions exist on the workshop, but they fail to hold up in multiplayer due to their excessive reliance on delay components and recursive signals, which often create errors when any real-world networking inconsistencies arise.

The entire circuit box uses fourty-eight components. Fourteen for the timer, eleven for the high-score keeper, nineteen for the voice commands, and four for the wireless displays. Each of these sections can be independently deleted (with a minimal amount of DIY fixes) if you want to axe any of the functionality in favor of performance.

The mod is working great now! I included it in my Flounder submarine, with proper attribution: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2971287312

Very funny idea, and obviously really cool and active dev. Thanks for the thing, my captain loves this! :vlambeerFish:

I'm not entirely sure what the issue was, but... I fixed it?
Let me know if you still can't find it. I have zero idea what was going on, but it's working now.

I am subscribed and the mod is activated but it doesn't show up in my sub editor menu. It was working fine some time ago, did something change? I run Lua and a couple inventory sorting mods but no big conversions or extra content mods.

Both issues (incorrect WiFi channels and incomplete regex expressions) are fixed. Thanks. :)
Smemer 23 Mar, 2023 @ 6:02pm
For people wondering why the voice commands do not work correctly, the key REGEX component is wrong. Replace it with:

^[Cc][Oo][Mm][Pp][Uu][Tt][Ee][Rr].*(([Ll][Oo][Gg]|[Rr][Ee][Pp][Oo][Rr][Tt]|[Ww][Hh][Ee][Nn]|[Hh][Oo][Ww].*[Ll][Oo][Nn][Gg]).*([Ii][Nn][Cc][Ii][Dd][Ee][Nn][Tt]|[Aa][Cc][Cc][Ii][Dd][Ee][Nn][Tt])).*

Also you must change the wifi component channels for the mock display.

Currently away from home, but I'll check & correct that when I'm back.

The wifi channels for the main displays need to be changed to the values indicated on the example displays to get them to work
