Born as the illegitimate child of a Japanese man and a Chinese woman Matsuo Izumi, named by her father after becoming her primary caretaker in secret, was a child whose very existence would've brought shame to either side of the family she was born into. Being the half child of two countries who both harbored deep dislike for one another, if this secret ever broke out, both families would be subjected to judgement, harassment, and even worse...the easiest option was just to abandon her, it's what either of her families would've done, but not her father and mother.

They loved their child dearly and they loved each other but they could not be together. So one night, the father snuck away to the mountains to take care of his daughter, leaving her in the care of a close couple friend, entrusting the secret to them and them alone. From afar, Izumi would receive the care and love from her parents despite their distance...little seeds of kindness here and there, a birthday card, enough yen to buy her favorite snacks, etc.

Growing up in the mountains, Izumi was quite the rambunctious child, always frolicking about and looking around for lizards and other small creatures to study and play with. To keep her energy under wraps, her "foster parents" taught her some self-defense, the woman in the couple being an instructor for karate part-time. While this started off helping, it turned into a funnel for more energy to pour through the girl, even as she got older. While the woman was a school and karate teacher, the man loved to brew alcohol, even having a small store and making his refined sake upon the mountains where they lived.

Izumi took interest in this home brewery, assisting her "father" when was old enough and making sake. Whenever she ached from training, she would drink from her gourd bottle and relax, even picking up the style of the "Drunken Fist" on accident, adopting it into her routine quite quickly given the flow of the style.

Years later, Izumi, while still hiding her secret, would become quite the businesswoman. She worked primarily through the shadows to better keep her controversial bloodline a secret, taking over her "father's" alcohol business and taking it to the next level when she reached the age of twenty-five. She struck deals, capitalized, and built up a reputation for her "family's" brand: (Mountain Peak Brewery) 山のピーク醸造所. Afterward with her newfound fortune and success, she managed to contact her parents who still loved her and she reconnected with them for good, making up for lost time and making sure they were taken care of from a distance just as they did for her well being and safety.

However, despite the success, Izumi wanted to be SEEN...she wanted to put herself out there and experience something new. So at the age of thirty, she went looking. Lo and behold the CAPTIVATING world of "PRO-WRESTLING". It lit a fire in her, a burning one for sure. She was immediately swayed by the displays, the acrobatics, the movements, EVERYTHING. Before she knew it, she was practicing her wrestling however...nothing fit her style, the high flying moves, the powerhouse grapples, the tight submissions...nothing was fitting. She went back to practicing her martial arts and then, like the alcohol's bittersweet flavor, it hit her.

Izumi would go on to bring the old and unique ways of the Drunken Fist to the world of wrestling, over time she would garner years of practice and experience, plenty of losses and even more victories, making a name for herself in Japan while keeping her company and secret separate. Now as a sort of veteran with eight years under her belt, despite her aging body, she was looking to head to LAW for a new federation to fight in, new challengers to face, and new rookies to crush and inspire...

Izumi is a high-spirited, easy-going woman who is almost always under the influence of alcohol, or at least that's how she appears. Despite this 'lazy' nature and demeanor, she's a hard-working woman who earned her victories and took her losses in stride. She doesn't tolerate disrespect and will often seek out rookies to crush them specifically and test their skills as well as their mettle. Most of them disappoint her with their big mouths and lack of talent, Izumi serves as a sort of mountain to climb with all her years of experience.
