Description
This is a quick map I made meant to be used as a help in the theme editor, so that whenever I'm creating a theme I already have all the needed features right from the start in the editor.
You'll need to subscribe to the Theme Editor Maps mod, activate it in the Content Manager and then select the map in the drop-down menu you see on the panel that opens when you have to choose the base theme.

The screenshots show all the different features you can find in the map that I think can be useful while making a theme.
Notes on a few things:
- Ruined texture: Surface Painter doesn't seem to work in the map editor, so I can't use it to place some of the texture. However, you can check your ruined texture by the side of roads, on cliffs and by the water.
- Field texture: again, it can't be painted in the map editor, but I placed a few farm buildings that will allow you to see it in the theme editor. However, Plop the Growables doesn't seem to work in the editor, which means they'll disappear as soon as you start the simulation, and reappear only the next time you load the editor
- Pollution: I have placed a few power plants thet create some polluted ground. However, it doesn't appear once you load the map and you'll have to start the simulation, but doing so will make the fields disappear

---- Update #1 ----
- Added underwater resources
- Added trees over resources
- Added some field painting
- Added various workshop and vanilla rocks, in case you want to test texture colours against those. Be careful! These rock packs can be quite heavy, so I suggest you only download the ones you think may be useful to you. Check the collection above.
- Fixed some resource gradients

Update #2

- Added a river, with different widths and various riverbeds (grass, sand, ore, oil, fertile)
- Added "foam generator", with different water steepness and speeds
- Added patches of sand over ore and oil
- Added different types of seabed (grass, sand, ore, oil, fertile) below the patch of pollution generated by the sewage outlet
- Added plane, ship and train connections, because why not

If you think there is something else I missed and that would be useful, or you have a solution to previous problems, let me know and I'll update the map.
I hope you can find this useful!

Try using the Common Ground mod. Basically, it allows you to render the terrain in the editor the same way the game renders unlocked squares in-game. I use it in the map editor and I always have it on, so I didn't think that it would cause this problem. If that fixes the issue I'll update the description

Ah I see that. The samples do not show up in the theme editor for me however. Strange.

Both of these are there, as you can see in the third screenshot

You should have added gravel and pavement samples ect. Thanks though.

Ah, I only play in the editors so I've never used these mods and I'm not up to date with them. I just tried these and growables disappear anyways, so either I'm doing something wrong or these mods aren't meant to work in the theme editor.

Good Idea. But as Info: Plop the Growables IS superseded since ages by RICO revisited and Advanced Building Level Control.
