I don't know what you mean the integrated into IMS main mod? I'm not the developer of IMS and don't have any relations to the mod. We only used it too and this comptibility mod was necessary for this

About the skipWhenMissingDependencies, no problem to patch this though I don't know why it should be necessary. We usually don't use any mod that's not needed
