Description
I found it a bit odd that while Rimworld offers a multitude of solutions to most basic problems in the game, from food production to money making to fighting raids, there is only one way of doing research: Putting a pawn in a room and waiting for him to think real hard. While there are a few ways to make this go faster there is no way around it and it sucks a lot for certain kinds of playthroughs, especially caravan oriented ones. To fix this issue, this mod adds one item per tech level that can be consumed to instantly research the currently selected project of it's corresponding tech level or lower instantly. Otherwise it will pick one at random. These items can then be obtained in multiple different ways, some of which are more caravan friendly.

Features:

Adds 6 different items that can be acquired from ancient dangers or from other factions through quests, trade or raiding and can be used a single time to complete an unlocked research project of it's respective tech level or lower, prioritizing the one that is currently selected. If no such project can be found the item will be wasted.
Load after Vanilla Base Generation Expanded.

@Ghostmare: The latest update changed something in the 1.5 version of Vanilla Base Generation Expanded. It caused it to no longer be recognized by the mods using it as a prerequisite.

Why yoiu added 1.4 version mod of vanilla base generarion expanded as requirements? There's already 1.5 version from Oskar Potocki.

so if you know where it is why not just add it to the mod and fix the issues it may bring up

@cralis7 the only thing that's missing is the mod dependency in About.xml. Your mod manager and so on will still cry at you, but it should work fine. If it really annoys you, just go into this mod's folder, and amend the dependency with the number at the end of the URL for the 1.5 version of VBGE

It doesn't seem to recognize the 1.5 version, I think you have to change the dependency. At the very least, none of the mod managers will recognize that it fills the dependency.

I notice this still calls for Vanilla Base Generation Expanded 1.4. Does the 1.5 version work in it's place or do I need the 1.4 version of that mod still even if I'm running the 1.5 version of the game?
