Description
Count Noctilus always felt a bit out of place to me. Compared to the bright and colourful characters that make up the rest of the faction, and with the inherently silly concept of undead pirates speaking in cornish accents with rusty rifles riding around on giant crabs - this dour, grim figure stands out like a sore thumb. Even more so when you put him in the tottering Junji Ito undead ship mech with a peg leg. He ends up coming across less as Dark Lord of the Midnight Sea, and more Sam the Eagle from the muppets.

Also, it's weird that as a Von Carstein he got more of an association with the Blood Dragon-descended Depth Guard than the actual Blood Dragon Harkon did - but let's be honest, they probably all went to work for him because the pay's better and he's less likely to start talking to random objects.

Five skills for the vampire who says "Stop that! It's silly!"
Armoury of the Dreadfleet provides a general buff to armour and armour-piercing
Sea Spite Wind speeds up flying units and gives them some missile resist
Dread Fleet's Dread Elite makes Depth Guard more dangerous whilst also allowing them to work better as a frontline unit with extra melee defence
Pride of Many Navies makes Necrofex Colossi tougher, and gives them the Landmine ability from Marienburg Land Ships - anything gets into melee contact with them now has a good risk of being exploded.
Blood of Vashanesh gives him Storm of the Night and Red Fury, to lean into his Von Carstein blood.
