If you are brought across the old drawbridge of Raingate Prison, then there are only two ways out: Follow the rules -exactly-, or leave in a box.

Work. Behave. Obey.

There are worse things than the short trip to the noose or to the block, you know. Try not to get yourself sent to White Block, the punishment wing. After all, your family might want your body back in one piece.

Not that most of the dead even seem to leave. They just...vanish.
