Obvious Engravings

Description
Modifies the sprites for engraved walls to make the engravings three times as obvious.

FAQ

I liked how in the ASCII versions you could see a symbol that represented each engraving. Can you bring that back?

At the moment, it's not possible to have more than one image for engraved walls. Once DFHack is updated to this version, something should be possible then. Someone else will have to make that mod, though. I don't really have the skills or the patience to draw all the engravings that would be necessary.

@Alpha you would have to generate a new world, as that is the time when you can select which mods are loaded.

There is also a way to bypass the game's mod loading system to directly place mods into a pre-existing save file. That method doesn't work on some mods as the game cannot handle adding new instances of certain types of objects, and I have no idea whether this mod will work with that method.

@Trainzack: I´m new to this, so maybe a dumb question:
If we talk about installing this mod on an existing save, are we talking about a "Fortress save" or the whole "World Save" that I generated when first starting the game?
I generated a world, started a Fortress Save in it, do I have to generate a new world or just a new fortress to have the mod active?

@Aetini You cannot install this mod on an existing save, or uninstall this mod from a save that was created with this mod enabled. You can get around that by modifying some of the game files (or the files of another mod that's loaded), but that can be kind of tedious.

It really shouldn't work like that for a graphical mod, but that's the way it does work and there's not much i can do to change it, unfortunately.

Ok probably a dumb question but is this compatible with a save?

I'm struggling to remember why I made the preview that way.

@Pogey-Bait: The "before" texture has a very dull coloration to it that doesn't draw the eye much, while the "after" texture is brighter. Focus your attention on the walls.

I've looked at this thumbnail over a dozen times and still don't get it.

That thumbnail reminds me of something sussy. Brainrot levels dangerously high.

@J The only way to make this work with 2.5D Perspective Walls is to redraw the sprites in 2.5D.
