ES Oslo -EMP Frigate by EuroSpace

Description
For the fact that energy weapon heavy combat vessels, as EuroSpace commonly produces, often struggle to penetrate strong shield setups at their maximum range, the ES Oslo was created to escort Ion Kites in particular. Its design aims to quickly overload shields with 4 EMP launchers, within an affordable budget and low crew requirements. The Oslo foregoes expensive reverse thrusters, turning around in combat and using its main thrust in reverse to stay at maximum range. The ship's only significant defense is the presence of 12 front- & rear-facing point defense guns against stray missiles.

Speed forward & reverse: ~86m/s
Crew: 34
Price: ~250.000$

(The other ship that the ES Oslo escorts in the screenshots is the ES Zagreb Mk III, found here:

[Attention: The game currently has a missing feature where crew assignments are not copied along with loading the crew roles. That leads to broken ships. To work around, paste this ship in creative (do NOT create a grid first), then look at the assignments and memorize/take a screenshot. Then try to replicate assignments in career for a correctly working ship]

Ah I forgot there's a config for break off on attack.

Formations do break off when the leader is in range & reform when the enemy is dead.

Ideally formation should never break in combat.

Built-in ships are usually not very fast, so 86m/s should be enough to chase. But only, if the big engines are pointing i nthe right direction, of course. So have you tried changing the flight direction default when you're the one giving chase?

Having issues using this guy, it either can't keep up when I'm the one chasing, or have to micro manage it at the start so it breaks off the formation at it's max range (formations in this game only break into combat when the #1 ship enters combat, even if the rest of the wing has way longer range)
