Introducing Day Number 13, the North Star

"Wandering Giant. Come in Wandering Giant, this is North Star. We have made contact and resupplied with the Mirage. Give or take a couple of rotations we should be back on the surface and ready to rendezvous with the equipment needed to start the dig.

Soon we should be down and ready to begin excavation of Site B. Hopefully there's something worth bringing back this time, as I doubt Earth would fund a third trip without so much as a Potsherd to show them.

I am confident however, as all evidence indicates a vast settlement once stood where we have set up camp and with any luck, it shouldn’t be long before we find something. I am especially intrigued by the mural from our last expedition; depicting a large tablet standing in the centre of a temple. It seemed to be important to this planet’s society, and understanding it could provide vital details as to what happened to them…"
