Introducing Day Number 14, the Wandering Giant

"Received loud and Clear North Star. Wandering Giant is currently surveying the area for any irregularities before we begin the sampling process. From what I can gather, the temple that was spoken of could potentially have stood upon a ridge approximately a click and a half from our current location. It could be nothing, but if I was building a massive cosmic superstructure I’d have it lording over the peasants below - that and in the image it’s standing on an identical ridge…

I worry over the interest in this tablet. For all we know it could just be a large block of stone that the indigenous people worshiped for whatever reason; yet the fact that Earth took such interest in it just feels off. This along with the redaction of any information of the Mars accident has left me rather concerned about our true purpose here. All I’m saying is, if there is an ulterior motive, I for one would rather not like to find out about it in the same manner the Europa team probably did…"
