!! BIG UPDATE !!

A minigame in which 1 or 2 (depending on player count) players take up the role of snipers, trying to shoot the rest of the players. The snipers are not able to move from their nest, while the runners are free to traverse the level. The goal of the runners is to make it to the saloon before time runs out. The goal of the snipers is to stop this from happening.

The game is split into 3 rounds of 60 seconds each, and the snipers are randomly chosen. Runners begin with 50 health, and die in 2 rifle shots. They can choose to buff their health with a barrel powerup, at the cost of speed, or buff their speed with a pepper powerup, at the cost of health. They can also choose neither. There are also obstacles which the runners can hide behind and use to their advantage, including one that can be pushed.

Points are awarded based on player count, when a runner makes it to the Saloon. Regardless of player count, a sniper always gets a point when they score a kill. They also get a point if the runners have not made it at least halfway through the level, and time runs out. This is to address issues in which every runner teams up to deny a sniper any points by not leaving spawn.

Bots are unable to play this game well, and I don't know how to fix that at this time. If chosen as snipers, they never shoot, and if chosen as a runner, they will follow a very predictable path to the goal. I made the path winding so that you can practice your aim against them.

There also is an issue currently in which a sniper who damages a player, but does not kill them, will still get a point at the end of the round. This is because I have to kill every player to end the round early, if every player finishes, and I guess since the sniper was the last to damage the player, they get credit for that kill. Until the developers allow this feature to be changed in a minigame, I don't see a way to fix this, short of letting the 60 seconds run out every single round.

This minigame is a work in progress, so please let me know if you have any ideas for improvements to the gameplay, or notice any bugs; I'm still actively tweaking the balance and flow. Thanks!

The idea is great but the aiming is too difficult for it to work properly, sadly..

Maybe make the shooter in first person? Otherwise the player model gets in the way of aiming

It's too hard to aim. Can you implement a sniper scope view?

Yeah to be honest with you, i got lazy with the scene design and ended the concourse early. I might extend it later, and if i don’t, i’ll unlock it so someone else can.

As for the spawn issues, it is a known issue that appears to be due to pummel party itself. Spawn restrictions are not respected properly for respawns

Just found out that mods need to be unlocked for editing, thats your choice of course :)

This mod is amazing! We tried it today and it worked pretty well. When we played as 3 players it once happened though that there was no sniper spawned. Ill try to look into it myself, but couldnt get the mod to load in the editor yet. Also I feel like the concourse could be a bit longer, to give the sniper more time to pick of his enemies.
