Victorian Railways T Class

Description
Clyde EMD G8 (Modified) T Class

Introduced to VR in 1955 as part of its $160 million rehabilitation program to replace old Y, E, A2 and D3 locomotives on branch lines. Many of these older steam locomotives were over 60 years old and worn out. The T Class were modified EMD G8 class locomotives built locally by Clyde Engineering in Granville in numerous batches between 1955 to 1968. 27 'Flat Tops' were initially ordered with an order for an additional 10 in 1959. The second batch differed from the first by having a raised cab roof. In 1965 another batch of 32 began being delivered, these later models had a lower nose. An additional order for 19 was delivered from April 1967. Although designed for branch line service they saw frequent use on mainline duties, passenger services and shunting. Many remain in service today.

I've had these sitting around for a year or so, I'll make some additional liveries for them if people want them. Thought I'd share for those interested in a little more Aussie flavour.

They may get an overhaul one day. :)
