Mithril Ore

Description

Adds mithril as mid- to late-game ore.

It is a pretty light and strong metal, but not as strong as adamantine.
You will probably only be able to equip one or two champions with
mithril gear because of its scarcity.

The ore can be found only in igneous extrusive layers and is about
twice as rare as aluminum.

Direct ore smelting yields less metal than the refining which uses up
some flux.

The issue is that the mithril ore spawns in igneous extrusive layers according to the mod data. It's fairly inconsistent to find in my experience.

So for those that are wondering, I havent found any in caverns, but the mod does work. I usually get it from killing invaders or trading. It shows up on characters and usually works best assigning the items manually.

I have the distinct feeling this mod is abandoned? I'm not seeing the ore generate at all in my worlds.

Hello, i like this mod but the dwellers are often equiped with mithril spears and shields.
So now i've tons of those and weirdly, no one of my soldiers want to equip then

I was wondering, is it possible to get the mithril items to show up on dwarves at all, even just as some other metal? I'd be fine with it looking like silver or something...

Not sure if it's generating at all or just a bug on the embark screen, but none of the several worlds I've generated with this mod active have created any Mithril that's detected by the find embark tool

This mod will be of interest to those who like Tolkien. All in all, I am intrigued by this mod. Unfortunately, there are no graphical changes in the game. I know this is a hard problem to solve, so I'm sad :pecho_tired:

Eh, I have to say, its a bit too common. All the undead sieges I've had recently had tons of mithril gear on basic zombies.
