Well, nevermind. It seems that unpacking the VPK, removing the sound, then repacking it doesn't work. The texture for the gun is missing and the console error says something about mismatched checksum.

Cool mod, but the sound is very lackluster. Would love just the model, but I understand if you don't want to go through the extra work, so I'll just mod out the sound so it plays the default Auto Shotgun sound.
