More Food Names

Haethei's Dwarf Fortress Mods

Description
Adds 17 new food names to finished meals for some additional variety. This does not change how ingredients work, it just means your finished meals can be things like "plump helmet pie" instead of becoming biscuits every time. This mod should be compatible with every other mod, as long as they aren't also adding one of the food names I have added.

Easy meals: Salad, sliders, roll, preserve, soup

Fine meals: Cake, platter, mash

Lavish meals: Pie, loaf, casserole, dumplings, pastry, quiche, pierogi, buns, chowder

Feel free to suggest more names in the comments (try to keep it medieval fantasy themed, something that works well for all types of ingredients)

I love my pjerogi

Easy: Portions, - Soured, Gruel, Broth
Fine: - Pickled, Tart, Stew, Pudding, - Dried, Sauce
Lavish: - Stuffed, - Candied, - Mulled

For the Prefixed foods, something like "Lobster, Stuffed" could possibly work.

Instead of "slices" you could go with "Portions" as an easy meal.

Ah, that is probably because I removed the burger name and updating it in a world with the old version would make errors. I should have changed the compatible versions so it doesn't try to update on existing worlds

For now just don't update it until you're doing a new world

After update i get error: Missing item definition burger or something

Slices might not work well with alcohol-derived food tho ("Dwarven wine slices")

Easy: Soup, gruel, slices
Fine: Porridge, loaf
Lavish: Cake, pie, dish

Oh, my comment's entirely unhelpful. Should have read the discussion first.

That said, add "mash" to the fine level. That's a good one!

Any chance we could get this a bit less anachronistic? I'd like to use this, but I really don't want to see "sliders" or "casserole". Maybe:

Easy: Biscuit, gruel, tack, brine, jerky, curdle
Fine: Stew, broth, porridge, chowder, boil, loaf, pickles
Lavish: Roast, soup, chowder, fry, dumpling, preserves, pudding, pie, tart, pastry, sausage, bake

Just some ideas
