Komy's Mid-Game Industrial

Description
Inspired by one of the ship hulls haphazarardly welded together within Fringe's Station Design called "Ghost Hardware", I bring to you Komy's 48 Long Haul ship! Refinery faccilities and mining Lasers included.

It took me a long time to get the painting right, so I hope you like the details. I wanted to achieve a very industrial and utilitarian look while also making the ship practical to use, relatively speedy and with minimal crew to operate. This is the perfect upgrade for you if you think that Monolith's Mass Freighter isnt large enough for your needs! If the cost of construction doesnt seem agreeable to you, then feel free to apply modifications at your leisure.

Cargo: 768 spaces. Able to hold 15,360 Steel Plates, or alternatively, 3,840 Unrefined Ore

---The ship has been equiped with Explosive Charges in case of an emergency:
Detonating them will destroy all Air Locks except for a single but inaccessible one. If this ship is attacked by an AI, the player can order the vessel to "Abandon Ship" to save it from total destruction. However this causes all onboard crew to exit the ship, risking suffocation if there is no other Player vessel nearby to rescue them. By detonating the Explosive charges and then Abandoning the ship afterwards, you prevent Crew from exiting the hull, trapping them inside. This is good, it means you can organize a rescue operation later on and retrieve the Crew Alive (and the Vessel)

@Kharnath Squad roles are irrelevant for this design, its a logistics ship so yeah they are all basically redshirts. I suppose my old default roles got carried over with the design. You can safely ignore them or make your own if you wish!

how are the roles set up? all quarters are standard but you have 2 more crew roles

This is likely the last time I will update this vessel. I have equipped it with Explosive charges in strategic locations, this can save your crew in dire situations! Explanation written in the mod's description.

For starters, look up a game called Starsector. Check out a list of their base ship models, and use that as a starting point. If you are feeling EXTRA bold, look up mods for the game called Diable Avionics and Shadowyards. Plenty of cool looking ships from that game and the mods.

You got tugs, frigates, destroyers, cruisers, capitals, dreads, corvettes, freighters, haulers, salvage gantries, explorers etc.

@BenjaminFlanken Aw thanks! I dont know though, I dont have any new ideas as of yet for a new ship hull design. If you wanna toss me some, feel free to and I might try it out! For this ship my main goal was to roughly replicate what I saw on Ghost Hardware's station in-game :P

This is the best freighter/factory ship in the early game! This'll be my go to in every future game. Looking forward to the others in this line!

It'd be nice to see this ship roaming around by AI, but I have no idea how to do that, if the peopple you mentioned approach me wanting to add this freighter to that pack by themselves, then maybe I'll allow it :P

Also, there is another modder who got the game's AI factions to use a bunch of Starwars ships that were made in a large ship pack. If you get some advice from said modders like that, you could potentially get the AI to use some of the ships you made and put them all in a single mod.

If you use some mods, you can put some Turreted point defense on it for self defense against missiles and projectiles.
Long as you link it in the mod page of course. Speaking of which, id assume that most transport ships have atleast 1 or 2 pdf turrets for minimal protection. Atleast thats how it is in most space games i play.
