Vector Dynamics' Antiques | LRV-1 "Vagrant" Light Recon Vehicle

Description
"Why Vector Dynamics specializes in planes and should continue doing so: Exhibit 1"

During the interim period of the 4th and 5th Corporate Wars, Vector Dynamics' Board of Directors decided it would be profitable for Vector Dynamics to diversify its product lineup. The result is the now-defunct Vector Dynamics Land Combat Research Division and the LRV-1 "Vagrant" Light Recon Vehicle.

Designed as a light-weight, flexible information-gathering proxy for Vector Dynamics' airborne elements, the LRV-1 "Vagrant" is an incredibly fragile, somewhat speedy armored car that comes equipped with a datalink system and light armaments.

LRV-1s never saw real combat, primarily acting as riot control vehicles within Vector Dynamics' private security force. However, it was somewhat-intensively-utilized in the Middle East in a counter-insurgency role, though it quickly proves inadequate even in that role as the LRV offer poor protection against anything larger than small, personal firearms.

Technical Specifications
The LRV-1 is a lightweight electric vehicle powered by a Quantum-suspended APU, providing it with a top speed of 160 MPH, unlimited range, and a practically non-existent maintenance cost. That being said, the microfusion reactor require several seconds to spool up and reach full output and is vulnerable to EMP attacks.

To aid with reconnaissance, the LRV comes equipped with a night-vision camera, several illumination flares and a 5000km track radar linked with a built-in NNLINK Datalink system. Additional modifications to the onboard NNLINK allows the LRV to upload video footage from its primary camera on the same frequency as the datalink freqency.

Armaments & Defensive Measures
Generally speaking, the LRV is not designed to be a competent combat vehicle, but it is equipped with several weapon systems for self-defense and riot control. These include...
  • A Dual 20mm autocannon system with 400 rounds of HE/IC ammo. These are mounted on an eye-tracking turret.
  • 4 NNTC Sardine Micro AGMs.
  • 8 70mm unguided Hydra rockets.

The LRV is lightly armored and does not offer protection against anything heavier than light infantry weapons. 8 countermeasure chaff exists but they are manually activated and a crude onboard RWR system alerts the user to continuous radar locks.

Due to this vehicle being an outdated antique, you do not need to read our Terms and Conditions, nor do you need to sign our Non-Compete Agreement. In fact, you are welcomed and encouraged by Vector Dynamics to refit and upgrade the LRV to modern standards and release it as your own creation.

That being said... Vector Dynamics is still not responsible for any damage, casualty or loss of resources caused by:
Attempting to mount munitions incompatible to our existing hardpoints;
Attempting to fire mounted munitions while doing tight turns;
Attempting to use the LRV in any purpose other than riot control and reconnaissance;
Damage to the Quantum APU due to attempts of tempering or reverse-engineering.

Vector Dynamics is also not responsible for any war crimes, human right violations, criminal activities or acts of terrorism caused by the use of our product. Vector Dynamic is also not responsible for any world-ending events caused by mentally unstable mercenary/peacekeeper pilots using our product. Remember, If it's out of our hands, it's none of our business anymore!
